My Cats Own Me By Tessa Dick My cat Tuffy has her own web site. We laid Tuffy to rest under a white rose bush five years ago, but she lives on! Meanwhile, my four living cats rule my life. They shove me out of bed in the morning and dance around their food dishes until I feed them. They let me know when their food isn't good enough. My lap is never empty. They walk across my desk, often "typing" on my keyboard. They leave their shed fur everywhere. When a tail knocks over a knick knack or a glass of water, they disavow all responsibility. The tail is a separate creature, and the cat is not responsible for what it does. Without my cats, life would be empty. They give me a reason to get up in the morning, and they sleep with me at night -- especially if I turn on the electric blanket. And Tuffy is kind enough to advertise my novels on her web site.
