Philip K. dick's Owl

At the request of some fans of my husband Philip K. Dick, a most forceful request, I am attempting to recreate the last novel that Phil was planning to write shortly before his untimely death in 1982. The Owl in Daylight would have been a masterpiece of science fiction, based loosely on Dante's Inferno and Goethe's Faust. I expect to finish the novel in summer 2009. In the meantime, a preview edition is available at Amazon dot com. This preview edition is about half of the story, condensed and abbreviated, running 124 pages. The complete novel should come to more than 250 pages, perhaps over 300. It is an epic of major proportions. I have heard from the Philip K. Dick Trust, which is under the management of my step-daughter, that they want me to withdraw my novel. They seemt o think that they own my husband's name, despite the fact that many authors have used his name in their book titles and made him a character in their novels. The issue is still up in the air, but I am limiting the preview edition to 100 copies, so it will be a colloector's item. ~~ Tessa B. Dick
